ASTM B 725 Monel 400 Welded Pipe can be welded without any difficulty by gas-tungsten arc, shielded metal arc or gas metal arc methods by using suitable filler metals. Well, there is no requirement for the post weld heat conduct in ASME SB725 Monel 400 Welded Pipe, however, methodical cleaning after welding is significant for most favorable corrosion resistance, or else there is the threat of embrittlement and contamination. Monel 400 Welded Pipes that have remarkable thermal and mechanical properties, with a high tensile strength between 58-87 ski, giving them the power to work in heavy duty services. Thus, our UNS N04400 Monel ERW Pipes are tough and for reducing conditions in oil refineries.
The corrosion resistance to acids such as hydrochloric acid or hydrofluoric acid in a deaerated condition, of the Monel 400 Seamless Pipe is what makes them suitable for use in non-oxidizing chloride based solutions. In an annealed condition, the strength of a Monel 400 EFW Pipe is relatively low. This can be remedied by the use of various tempers, which can result in an increase in strength. The Monel 400 Welded Pipe can be used at temperatures as high as about 1000° F down to cryogenic temperatures.
